Dr. Thomas Anderson is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Right after high school he joined the Army and served for almost 15 years. After his time in the Army he had joined a Pre-Med program and was on track to become an anesthesiologist when he first really learned about chiropractic and the bodies natural ability to heal itself. After learning more and more he realized that this form of health care resonated with his beliefs about the body and health care – so he switched his program. He went on the graduate from Palmer in June of 2005 and has been in private practice in Urbandale until joining the team at Optimum Chiropractic in 2019.
Dr Jose Hernandez graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and has been with the Optimum team ever since. He attended the University of Northern Iowa for his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. Dr Hernandez has a passion for how chiropractic can treat a wide variety of conditions from athletes to wellness care by allowing the body to heal itself. This healing capacity is how he became interested in chiropractic himself following a sports injury he sustained. He continued to see the improvements of patients while in the chiropractic program at Palmer, and got to see patients get adjusted and the immediate impact it had on their function and ability to return to play. Dr Hernandez then did his internship at a pediatric based chiropractic clinic to learn more about treating kiddos and moms with chiropractic care during and after pregnancy.
